The elderly man holding the fishing pole is Adam Bickett Kendall, 1829-1911, my great-great-grandfather’s brother.  The young man in the middle of the back row is his nephew David Herman Kendall, and the rest are likely family members too.  Everybody except Great-Uncle Bickett is ready for haying — probably on his farm near Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This photo was in a box handed down by my great-uncle’s widow.  She took photos of people she knew out of the box and said if no one else wanted it, she’d throw it out.  Thank goodness she didn’t!
